We, Vision Decision GmbH (hereinafter referred to as "we" or "us"), would like to inform you about how we handle your personal data. The protection of your personal data is of high importance to us, thus we only use your data for the purposes for which we collect it and on which we inform you in this privacy policy.

2   Use of our Website

In brief: When you visit our website, your browser exchanges information with our web servers. This data is automatically stored in so-called log files.

Purpose of processing: Our web servers process your data in order to deliver the requested website to your browser. We store all requests in log files to ensure the security and functionality of our website.

Data categories: Technical data (device type, operating system, browser, screen resolution and color depth, language settings, user agent string, IP address (anonymized), approximate geographical location, Internet service provider (ISP), host name and domain, session ID and client ID, timestamp of the visit, length of stay, page views, click paths, referrer URL, scroll depth, and interactions)

Legal basis: The log files are stored for the purpose of providing the desired online content and ensuring the security and functionality of our website. Data processing is therefore carried out to protect our legitimate interests in accordance with Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR and is absolutely necessary for the provision of our website within the meaning of § 165 (3) TKG 2021.

Retention period: We automatically delete our log files after 90 days. If we need the log files for a longer period of time (e.g., in the event of a security incident), the storage period may be extended accordingly.

3   Use of Google Analytics (with IP anonymisation)

In brief: We use Google Analytics to better understand usage behaviour on our website and to improve our online offering.

Purpose of processing: Analysis of usage behaviour on our website, improvement of our content and statistical evaluations.

Data categories: Pseudonymised usage data such as pages accessed, click behaviour, length of stay, browser information, end device, approximate location data. We use Google Analytics exclusively with IP anonymisation enabled; the IP address is truncated within the EU.

Legal basis: Art. 6 (1) (a) GDPR (consent). Google Analytics is only activated once you have given your consent in the cookie banner.

Recipients/recipient categories: Google Ireland Limited.

Categories of recipients in third countries: Transfer to the USA is possible. Google relies on EU standard contractual clauses and additional security measures.

Retention period: Analysis data is automatically deleted after 14 months.

Revocation: You can revoke your consent at any time via the cookie banner or prevent it by deactivating the setting of cookies in your browser.

 

4   Use of Google Maps

In brief: We use Google Maps to provide you with interactive map functions (e.g. location display, route planning) on our website.

Purpose of processing: Provision of a user-friendly map function, display of our company location and assistance with geographical orientation.

Data categories: IP address, device and browser information, language settings, date and time of page view, and usage data of the map function. Google may link this data to existing Google account data if you are logged in during use.

Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR (consent). Google Maps is only loaded after you have given your consent in the cookie or consent banner.

Recipients/recipient categories: Google Ireland Limited.

Recipient categories in third countries: Transfer to the USA is possible. Google relies on EU standard contractual clauses in accordance with Art. 46 GDPR and other technical and organisational measures for this purpose.

Retention period: Google stores personal data in accordance with its own internal retention periods. We do not store any additional personal data in connection with the map display.

Revocation: You can revoke your consent at any time via the cookie banner, which will prevent Google Maps from being loaded.

 

5   Use of Microsoft Clarity

In brief: We use Microsoft Clarity to better understand usage behaviour on our website and to optimise our online offering.

Purpose of processing: Analysis of website usage (e.g. clicks, scrolling behaviour, interactions) to improve user-friendliness and identify technical issues. Microsoft Clarity uses session replays and heat maps, among other things, to identify how visitors interact with our website.

Data categories: Pseudonymised usage data such as mouse movements, clicks, keyboard entries (excluding sensitive fields such as passwords), scroll positions, technical browser data, screen resolution, device type, length of stay, pages visited.

Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR (consent). Clarity is only activated after you have given your consent in the cookie/consent banner.

Recipients/recipient categories: Microsoft Ireland Operations Limited & Microsoft Corporation (USA) as technical infrastructure provider

Recipient categories in third countries: Transfer to the USA is possible. Microsoft relies on EU standard contractual clauses in accordance with Art. 46 GDPR and other technical and organisational measures.

Retention period: Microsoft stores the processed usage data in accordance with the internal retention periods defined in Microsoft Clarity. We do not store any personal data in connection with Clarity.

Revocation: You can revoke your consent at any time via the cookie banner. This will deactivate Clarity and no further data will be collected.

 

6   Transfer of Data to Courts and Authorities

We are subject to numerous legal regulations. In certain cases, we may be legally obliged to disclose your personal data to courts or other authorities upon request. In any case, we will ensure that the protection of your data is maintained.

 

7   Change of Ownership

If our company (or parts thereof) is transferred to a new owner, your personal data may be transferred to the new owner. Furthermore, if the company (or parts thereof) is sold, your data may be disclosed to potential buyers and their advisors (e.g., lawyers) as part of a due diligence process in order to protect our legitimate interest in finding a suitable buyer. The legal basis for such data processing is the protection of the aforementioned legitimate interests (Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR).

You can request information about the data we process about you. If we process data about you that is incorrect or incomplete, you can request that it be corrected or completed. You can also request the deletion of unlawfully processed data or the restriction of data processing. You also have the right to data portability if we have collected your data on the basis of your consent or a contractual relationship with you.

If the processing of your data is based on your consent, you can revoke this consent at any time. This does not affect the legality of this processing prior to revocation. If we process your data to protect our legitimate interests, you can object to this processing in specific, exceptional cases, which you must justify. You can also object without giving reasons if you receive direct marketing from us and no longer wish to receive it in the future.
